Yoga
Traditional tools for a modern world
What is Yoga
The word “Yoga” its it’s pure sense is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice of Yoga aims to create a union and connection between body, mind, and spirit. In today’s chaotic modern world and its sensory overload the ancient and traditional practice of Yoga provides us with a vast supply of tools that aid us in connecting back to our bodies and minds and bring us to a state of presence and mindfulness. The lifestyle of taking care of one’s self through proper nutrition, rest, exercise, group therapy as well as spending quality time alone in a peaceful state can also be easily adapted from this as well. On this page, you will find different ideas and areas of Yoga and its many uses as they may apply to each person on an individual basis or with others,

Yoga and massage powerful complimentary therapies…
Together we observe and analyze your current movement and practice. We note different challenges and restrictions and areas your body might be holding tension from your lifestyle or from past injuries as well. We can then develop different treatments and routines combining methods of yoga, medical massage, and energy work as well as sports medicine. This helps to assist and advance you on a more complete and holistic level through your ongoing practice.
This is much different than Thai Massage or Yoga in themselves as your teacher and therapist are educated and experienced individually in Clinical Massage, Yoga as well as Sports Medicine.
Sports or activity focused program design
We can also work with you in developing practices to enhance or improve different sports disciplines or specific activities.
