Getting started
Time and experience have shown that each person and their body are unique in their personal story and challenges. After an interactive assessment and evaluation, we work together to develop a session and treatment plan for your individual condition, and lifestyle. This can be done by focusing on specific therapies or a combination of clinical massage therapy and traditional body and energy work.
Clinical & Medical Massage Therapy
These are outcome-based treatments targeted to a specific problem or challenge and are applied after a thorough evaluation with specific outcomes being the basis for the treatment. The base of Clinical Massage requires a deep familiarity with anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology. Of how tissue gets injured and how to facilitate its healing. It requires deeper techniques including but not limited to; Myofascial release, trigger point work, as well as assisted stretching, and passive joint manipulations. It’s often utilized in conjunction with Physiotherapy, corrective exercise and yoga therapy.
Traditional therapies
Traditional massage is often unique to a particular culture or geographic area of origin. The techniques often delve deeper into holistic healing which may combine energetic as well as herbal and other alternative therapies.
Treatments often involve compression, acupressure, and passive stretching to increase the range of motion in your joints and muscles which also aids in improving your posture and alignment. Pulling, and rocking techniques help to relieve tension, promote relaxation, and also improve flexibility and circulation.
These methods combined with energy work aid in opening and improving the flow of energy throughout your body.
Sessions often utilize but are not limited to elements of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Hot Stone, Traditional Thai, and Malaysian Massage and Acupressure, meridian treatments.
Intuitive Bodywork sessions

energy healing
is a holistic practice which has been documented for several thousand years in cultures around the world. Healer’s channel universal life force (or healing energy) into a patient to help balance, heal and remove blockages from the body. Energy flow, balance, harmony and vitality can then be restored and maintained to aid and enhance the body’s natural healing process.
Energy Medicine includes a variety of holistic healing modalities such as: Intuitive healing, Reiki, Acupressure, Reflexology, Thai Massage, Shamanic healing and many more…
During and intuitive healing session one or several different energy healing techniques may be utilized depending on a clients needs or preference.
Intuitive Healing
Intuitive healing is a broad term that can apply to any act or mode of healing that uses intuition to help guide the healing process or treatment. While the term is usually used for energy healers and other holistic healers, It can be applied just as accurately to many conventional medical practitioners.
Pranic healing: Prana ‘ is the Sanskrit word for life force. It is called ‘chi’ in China and ‘ki’ in Japan and Mana in Polynesia. This kind of energy work uses prana or life energy to cure physical ailments. Its basic principle is cleansing the body of “negative or dirty” energy and replacing it with prana. These techniques are influenced from European, Native American and Polynesian healing practices.
Reiki : While it has many schools, the fundamentals are the same: practitioner transfers universal energy to another sentient being. A practitioner holds their hands over specific points in the recipient’s body and channels that universal energy to facilitate a self-recovery response.
The following treatments are usually combined with light hands on massage and body working.
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi: Hawaiian healing massage and energy work
Thai Massage: Traditional Thai massage focusing on certain areas and energy meridians as they apply to each individual case.
Acupressure: Acupressure consists of pressing the acupuncture points in an attempt to help the free flow of energy in the body’s energy channels. Acupressure is similar to acupuncture, but the person uses their fingers instead of needles to work the point.
Quigong-Tai chi massage: Energy- Chi from the practice of Tai Chi and Chi Kung are actively applied during the session while working with clients.
